Responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the department, ensuringequity of opportunity for all, achieving the highest possible standards in work andconduct. All teachers are required to carry out the professional duties andresponsibilities of a schoolteacher as defined by ‘Teachers’ Standards’ and set out inthe current ‘School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document’.
