Learning without borders
BET schools are known for delivering 'learning without borders' – bringing the best of all phases and sectors together. Our schools do not work in silos but connect with their communities.
This includes learning from and working with business, charities, health organisations, independent schools, sports organisations, further and higher education and the arts. BET staff embrace working with different key stages or types of schools, be they mainstream, SEND satellite centres, pupil referral units or SEND specialist schools. Children thrive from exposure to expertise from different settings and the wider world and must be prepared for jobs which do not currently exist. Staff thrive from working with different industries and expertise and develop portfolio careers which encompass diverse skills and expertise.
Clusters of schools are anchors in their communities and are open minded and outward-facing. The diverse educational offer children receive at a BET school may look different on the surface, but the ambition, ethos and quality are the same.
